This image was made on one of the few mornings I actually got out during the cold snap we had in January. It was actually a fairly warm morning (18 degrees) when this was taken. It is a swamp on Highway 120 going toward Buchannan, GA. I had noticed it on a few frosty mornings, but either didn’t have time or a camera. After my morning coffee I noticed how thick the frost was and headed out. I parked about 200 yards away and walked down to the swamp. I made quite a few exposures here and then walked another 200 yards. I decided it was time to go back to the car, they don’t make enough gloves for this weather. My hands haven’t hurt like this since I was younger and played out in the winter. The shot was worth the trouble, but not a prize winner. Hope you enjoy and so looking forward to spring. Today is groundhog day and it is raining here, so no shadow, Spring is on its way.
