The Heritage Museum in Marietta, GA. Originally Zion Baptist Church built in the mid 1800’s and still used occasionally today. A good friend arranged for us to gain access to the old church and we spent a few hours inside and had a great time. The light was fantastic as were the surroundings. This was probably one of my favorite shots among many. I will try to post more as the week goes on.
The image is a 6 shot HDR, Photomatix Pro and finished in Lightroom 2. I mainly added contrast and tweaked exposure and recovery then boosted the blacks and that was it.
I really liked the look of this shot with the Bible open to John 3:16 overlooking the sanctuary. The light was great, especially around the pews. A great big thanks to Bill Grimm who arranged the access for us. I met Bill at my Jekyll workshop in November. He is also a member of the Cobb Photographic Society, which I have also joined. A great group of photographers with lots of knowledge to share. Thanks for visiting the blog.
Mike, This shot is my favorite of all the old church shots. I love the name of the photo.
