“Stair Light” was taken in the old Draketown School a couple days ago. I really had a good time in there. This is one of the most interesting shots I got. I hope everyone has enjoyed the blog, I have been a little slack lately. I have probably framed about 2 dozen pieces in the last week and a half, trying to be ready for Zucot. Headed to Blue Ridge tomorrow morning at 7 AM to pick up 5 pieces from there. Get back and pack 4 of them for the show, shower and head to Zucot to deliver 42 pieces for the show. I then have a reception Saturday night at the Atlanta Artists Center for the 7th National Juried Show. I then get a 10 day rest before the opening at Zucot September 10th from 7-9 PM. Hope as many of you as possible can make it, would love to see some of the folks who follow the blog. Again thanks for all the support!!

This is the first photograph I have taken in almost 3 weeks, boy did it feel good. I just hope the weather is actually turning towards Fall, it will be much easier to get out and work.

I have driven by this old school for years and always wanted to go inside and check it out. Yesterday was the day and I’m glad I did. It turned out to be better than expected, but only after getting the images into Lightroom. While there I was not impressed, but here is the first result. I only shot 7 images, the rest to come later.

“The Way Out” is an image made on the same trip as “Sofa”, actually in the same room.I had gone to pick up work in Watkinsville and stopped off in Madison, GA to explore. Just happened to run across this vacant home and shot for about an hour. Hope you enjoy!!
